Applications are open for the fourth annual PMVB Community Impact Grant, a program established by the Pocono Mountains Visitors Bureau in 2022 as a way to give back to local communities across the region. Local governments including, but not limited to, boroughs and townships as well as municipal and redevelopment authorities are eligible to apply for funding to support projects that aim to enhance the quality of life in Wayne, Pike, Monroe and Carbon counties. Last year, the PMVB Community Impact Grant surpassed the $1 million mark in contributions to a total of over 100 projects. Initiatives funded over the years include upgrading soccer fields and playground equipment, enhancing infrastructure for community pools and dog parks, funding trash receptacles and anti-litter efforts, and support for restoring historical icons and beautifying downtowns. Proposals are due by April 4, 2025 for projects to be completed by December 1, 2025. At least a 50% match is required, and the grant cap request is $20,000. Program funding is allocated from the Hotel Occupancy Tax. To learn more about the PMVB Community Impact Grant and to download the application, visit poconomountains.com/grants.
