Director of Partnerships at The Build Fellowship | Cap-Exempt H-1B Visa Fellowships for Foreign Nationals
?? ? Attending WERC's Global Workforce Symposium was quite the experience! I was on the ground for The Build Fellowship by Open Avenues, connecting with top immigration experts (and one puppy ?? ). Our conversations were dynamic, insightful, and energized by a shared mission to streamline talent mobility and support foreign nationals as we navigate complex visa landscapes. Here are some highlights: ?? I had the privilege of speaking with attorneys like?Anindita Chowdhury?and?Nan Park?from?USILAW,?Robert Taylor?from?Erickson Immigration Group, and?Ceridwen "Ceri" Koski?from?WR Immigration. Their insights into the evolving visa landscape were invaluable, and their work to strengthen support for global talent is inspiring. ??I met with companies like Envoy Global, where I connected with Scott Sivright, BAL's Amy Cowley and Michelle Funk, and the team at ImmiTranslate, who shared their enthusiasm for potential partnerships. As we look for more ways to support H-1B talent, we're excited about the potential for future collaboration. ?? It was great learning from Texas Instruments's Courtney Crosby and Gilbane Building Company’s David Crosby. It was also exciting to learn about research organizations like the The Henry M. Jackson Foundation for the Advancement of Military Medicine, where I connected with Ritu Dubey. It was great being surrounded by so much immigration expertise! Let's keep creating opportunities for global talent to thrive in the U.S.
