关于我们
The Broward Metropolitan Planning Organization (Broward MPO) has started an important conversation with our community that will lead us to an action plan and timeline to expand our transportation choices. One of the most important things our leaders can do is to listen. Transportation affects our lives every day. Learn how you can be a part of the conversation to help us. The Broward MPO is a transportation policy-making board comprised of 25 voting members including representatives from the South Florida Regional Transportation Authority/Tri-Rail (SFRTA), the Broward County School Board, and five Broward County Commissioners. There are an additional 15 Alternate members of the board, who have voting rights when others are absent. The MPO is responsible for transportation planning and funding allocation in the Broward region. The Broward MPO works with the public, planning organizations, government agencies, elected officials, and community groups to develop transportation plans. The Broward MPO’s vision is to transform transportation in Broward County to achieve optimum mobility with an emphasis on mass transit while promoting economic vitality, protecting the environment, and enhancing the quality of life.

Happy St. Patrick’s Day! ?? Cloverleaf interchanges are key in managing traffic flow at major highway junctions. But did you know that four-loop cloverleaf interchanges are rare? ?? Most interchanges have only three loops, like the ones at Hillsboro Boulevard and I-95 and Copans Road and I-95. This design improves traffic efficiency and enhances driver safety. Follow along as we highlight more green-themed transportation facts this week! #BrowardMPO #Transportation #StPatricksDay

March is Florida Bike Month! Biking isn’t just a great way to stay active; it’s also a vital mode of transportation for many in Broward County. But did you know roads with six or more lanes see 30 times more cyclist fatalities than more minor roads? That’s why the Broward Safety Action Plan (BSAP) created the Bicycle & Pedestrian Action Plan to make cycling safer and more accessible. The plan focuses on closing gaps in bike lanes, improving sidewalks, and enhancing bike infrastructure through key policy changes. Because every ride should be safe.
