Black Sheep is a woman-owned, woman-led brand strategy and creative agency with 15 years of experience partnering with foundations, mission-driven organizations and nonprofits to activate people around things that matter. We’re a passionate, small-but-mighty Certified B-Corp team of experts who have proven results in reaching audiences with smart strategy, creative and messaging that drives real-world action. We have a reputation for building bold and engaging brands and campaigns that get real results—not just views and clicks. Our clients come to us because they know we’re able to change hearts and minds, accelerate their impact and return on their investments—and we do it all with the excellent communication and stakeholder management that comes from years of nonprofit client experience.     A new chapter begins for Café Momentum. Ten years ago, Café Momentum opened its doors in Dallas with a bold vision: to create opportunities for justice-involved youth to lead, thrive, and transform their futures. Since then, more than 1,200 young people across the country have proven what’s possible when communities invest in their success—demonstrating that when we show up for youth, lives change, and so can systems. Today, we’re marking a milestone in our journey. Momentum Advisory Collective is now Café Momentum. This unified brand brings our mission, our team, and our impact under one identity—backed by a bold, fresh look and a vision for the future. With a flagship location and national training facility launching in Dallas in 2026—and plans to open 10 new restaurants over the next decade—we’re building a movement where every young person has a seat at the table.   • Have you heard about H.R. 9495, a dangerous bill making its way through Congress that threatens the essential work of nonprofits and the communities they serve? This bill could give the government broad power to shut down organizations without evidence or due process—putting nonprofits that fight for LGBTQ+ rights, racial justice, labor unions and more at risk. But here’s the truth:?small actions can create enormous impact. One call to your Senator. One post to raise awareness. One donation to support advocacy. These simple steps, when multiplied, have the power to protect the nonprofits that make our communities stronger.?Now is the time to act.

    It's a high stress this week and a lot of us are feeling like there's not much we can do to mitigate the anxiety (especially if we've already voted or aren't eligible to vote). CEOs, leaders, managers, now is the time to: > Remind your team to take breaks, breathe, meditate, exercise or do whatever it is that soothes their nervous system. It's not abnormal that a lot of people are having a hard time functioning this week. > Give them guilt-free time off to participate—vote, support others getting out to vote—and/or let them have space to process the Election and all that comes with it. > Remember that we're not going to know where this is headed for a while. This race is close and we should plan to be in limbo for what will likely feel like a long time. Plan with more softness for the near term. Now is not the time to: > Push your own Election anxiety out on the rest of the team. Everyone is finding their own way to manage—and some just want to put their heads down on the work that needs to be done as a distraction. > Pile on, add deadlines, or schedule meetings tomorrow (or the next day). Believe me when I say nobody needs them. >Be the reason someone didn't get to vote. Ask if there's any way you can support your team or anyone who hasn't gotten to the polls tomorrow. Do you have company values? Consider what they might be telling you about how you should approach this week. If you have other ways you're supporting your team or building a Democracy-supportive org, I'd really love to hear them.

When Texana Center–one of the largest not-for-profit providers in the Houston area—asked us to refresh their brand, we knew clarity would make all the difference. Their community sees them as a crucial safety net staffed by passionate people. We developed a brand identity that reflects that trusted reputation. First: a new, modern logo that feels like taking flight. Then: a cool-toned, flowing visual identity to match. The soft gradients, lines and photography show progress and partnership.
