Talbot West is innovating with their CHAI architecture, which we see as the future of how AI should be integrated into corporate workflows. AI as a standalone is beneficial, but as a system is exponential. Worth the read.

New feature update for The Attic AI Proposals! We have integrated a new "Tone" feature that allows the user to select the tone of the draft response, including matching the tone of your documents. This allows you to have proposal responses in your own language, and based off of your documents. We have also updated our Peer Review module which is a custom trained AI that automatically does a peer review of the responses, gives you the strengths and weaknesses of the response, and provides a suggested response which can be automatically added to your proposal. This just reiterates the importance of having your models locally. Large organizations who need more and more data to improve their products for others to use, definitely do not have your best interest in mind. If you don’t have control over your AI, you don’t have control of your information, even if there is a “checkbox” to not use your information. I guess imitation is the purest form of flattery, right? But it sure was a surprise coming from huge industry players. A few months ago, we connected with Shipley to talk about our AI proposal generator that we developed in early 2023. They told us that they were working on something similar, but when it released last month we were a bit surprised to see that their site was almost identical to The Attic, even down to the fonts, pictures, and color schemes. But beyond the surface, The Attic’s solutions are very different. The biggest difference between us and Shipley/Microsoft was that we have been building and training custom language models for this specific purpose for over a year to ensure that data is not being passed to large LLMs. We don’t just check the “don’t use our information” box in ChatGPT to not share data. We build security from the ground up into our own custom LLM’s. The silver lining from this is that we are really proud that what our designers and engineers built last year was something that a large company would imitate. We have an amazing team at The Attic AI.
