Major is a dedicated higher education professional with over five years of experience in student advocacy, academic advising, and program coordination. She began her career in education as a Peace Corps Volunteer, where she cultivated a passion for cross-cultural communication and student development. Known for her meticulous attention to detail and commitment to student success, Adia has guided hundreds of students in achieving their academic and career goals through personalized support and strategic planning. Her expertise spans remote engagement, cross-departmental collaboration, and process improvement, making her a trusted partner in fostering meaningful student growth. With a Bachelor’s degree in Government from Smith College and a Master’s in Cross-Cultural and International Education from Bowling Green State University, Adia combines academic excellence with practical experience. When she’s not working, Adia enjoys spending time with her precocious child and her dog, Bubbles. Together, they love hanging out at the beach and creating memories filled with laughter and sunshine.

?? We're happy to announce Ron Alexander III as ASCA's new Parliamentarian! Ron (he/him/his) is a seasoned Student Affairs professional with over 12 years of experience in Residence Life, Title IX, Community Standards, and Students of Concern. He currently serves as the Associate Director for Community Standards and Deputy Title IX Investigator at Pace University, where he leads student conduct processes and the CARE/First-Alert Team. An active ASCA member, Gehring Academy alum, and engaged community leader, Ron has held roles at Northwestern and Loyola University, and serves on the Board for the Chicago Metropolitan Sports Association. Outside of work, he’s a competitive flag football player and dedicated member of Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity, Inc. Ron holds a B.A. in Political Science (Georgia State) and an M.Ed. (University of Georgia) and is also pursuing a second master’s in Mental Health Counseling. Congratulations Ron!
