With 14 years of passion and dedication in the hospitality industry, Ciara brings a wealth of experience to The Alamite. Her journey began with a childhood dream, and now she thrives on making each guest’s experience memorable. “The lobby is my favorite place in The Alamite. There is nothing like walking into the lobby on a random Wednesday and seeing people hanging out at the coffee bar, reading a newspaper, or having a drink at the Forté bar. "We believe a successful design is one that is not easily replicated - and it should also be a challenge to classify in terms of style. Mixing and matching pattern, color and texture is an obvious objective, but not easy to pull off. The lead designer on our project, Jennifer Wright, selected a variety of tile sizes and textures within the blue-green hue we’d used as the foundation of the lobby and ran with it for the guestrooms with a highly lacquered finish. She extrapolated on the spirit of the classical architectural elements and used penny tile mosaics to counterbalance some of the more sophisticated design elements." - Avenue Interior Design Our design approach stands as a testament to the artistry and creativity that goes into crafting a space that is truly one-of-a-kind. We’re absolutely thrilled to welcome three Julie Jamison paintings to Roll Call! Julie, a Tuscaloosa native, began her art journey when she was 29 years old. One day she spontaneously decided to take an art class, and she hasn’t stopped painting since! ?? She shows her work at Capitol Park Interiors as well as doing commission work - specializing in abstracts and landscapes. Julie is inspired by the world around her. You’ll find her always taking photos of landscapes and various shapes - which will sometimes find their way into her paintings. Her process for our space involved selecting colors, measuring meticulously, and experimenting with various shapes. Starting with around 8 pieces, she curated the perfect collection for Roll Call. Thank you Julie! We love your paintings in their new home ? Come see them at Roll Call - open Thursday - Tuesday at 5 p.m.
