I have been quiet on LinkedIn for the past few months because I was working with Aanand Esterberg and Paul Dietrich at Woody Creek, Inc. to develop a custom #network stack built on The Zephyr Project. ?? In the upcoming weeks and months, I will share some features of #zephyr that I explored and learned about through this effort. ??? The first blog post shows a more straightforward and precise way to pull in only needed #repositories for a #zephyr-based project using features of #west. ?? Supports deployment on multiple platforms, including MCUs, Android, and Linux. ? MCU support includes Espressif Systems, Dialog Semiconductor, ?NXP Semiconductors, The Zephyr Project, and Nordic Semiconductor (nRF Connect SDK). ? Transport-agnostic, supporting Bluetooth Low Energy, Zigbee, LoRaWAN, LTE, and even proprietary protocols. ? All you need to do is integrate their firmware SDK into your device(s) firmware. ? Typical compiled SDK size is 5KB of flash and requires 1.5KB of RAM. It is highly configurable so that it can work in more constrained environments. ? You get access to some standard captured metrics, but you can also add your own custom metrics.
