A recap from the past couple months: In May we celebrated mental health awareness month and the start of summer with a mental health resource list and a guide on staying safe in the summer months. In August, after the summer break we learned about the history of the Bangladeshi student protests and the navalny protests as well as an article about inclusive colleges to celebrate the beginning of the college application process for many members of our team. This May, not only is it mental health awareness month, but for many teenagers it is also finals season. This month the team at TYP thought it would be fitting to highlight healthy habits, so that we can make it through this month safely, and try and mitigate any incoming stress. Arushi (aera) Rege is an accomplished poet who highlights a unique healthy habit: poetry. Join us as we learn more about what inspired their poetry as we explore 4 featured poems. Remember, you aren’t alone and there is always a path out, even if it isn’t seen right away. If you are facing suicidal thoughts, need someone to talk to, or are in distress, call or text 988.
