Community engagement is a key part of Memorial Hermann The Woodlands Medical Center's mission. A big thank you to Linda Nelson for hosting the Memorial Hermann?Leadership Development Academy session, which highlighted community leaders from Montgomery County. It was a pleasure to share our experiences with the hospital's rising leaders, discussing our personal journeys, the impact of Memorial Hermann Health System The Woodlands Medical Center on our organizations, and our passion for serving the community. We also offered advice we wish we had received as young leaders. We are grateful for the opportunity to participate in this meaningful event.

We attended the 13th Annual Texas Life Science Forum co-hosted by BioHouston and Rice Alliance for Technology and Entrepreneurship. As the premier life science and health tech event in Texas, it brings together industry leaders, emerging life science companies, academics, and investors. It was great getting to network with innovative and early-stage life science companies and being able to enjoy exciting panels, keynotes, and speakers. Thank you again to Ann Tanabe and Brad Burke for a great event!

Holly and Mariana recently attended the Women in Economic Development (Win ED) Conference in Nashville, TN. ?? This small conference is designed to foster female connections and community, provide valuable insights and trends from industry experts, and inspire through shared personal and professional experiences. It was great to see friends and many new faces from several states and organizations! Allison Massari was an excellent keynote speaker; she inspired the group with her personal story and left us feeling vulnerable enough to over share yet stronger and more resilient than ever. Many thanks again to Annie Gregson, producer of Win ED, for hosting this wonderful event which will soon be celebrating 10 years! ??

Our team enjoyed attending this year’s In The Pink Premier Party at Amerigo’s Grill and the Memorial Hermann The Woodlands In the Pink of Health Luncheon held at The Woodland Waterway Marriott. Thank you to our partners and guests who joined us! These events help raise awareness and funds for programs in Montgomery County to combat breast and ovarian cancer.? A highlight was hearing this year’s guest speaker, former Olympic gymnast Shannon Miller. Shannon is the only female athlete to be inducted into the US Olympic Hall of fame - twice. In 2010, she launched a company focused on women's health and became a motivational speaker. In 2011, Shannon was diagnosed with a rare form of ovarian cancer. Today, she is cancer-free and continues to be an advocate for early detection awareness.?
