Our Mission: Elevate the Stature and Talents of Women

关于我们

The mission of the Women’s Leadership Institute is to elevate the stature of women’s leadership in Utah by improving society’s understanding of the value of diversity in leadership roles, training women in leadership skills, and conveying the positive impact female leaders have on economic development, vitality, and the overall health of the state. Through initiatives such as the ElevateHER Challenge and Political Development Series for women, the Women's Leadership Institute is changing the game and elevating the status of women in leadership.

Congratulations to Women's Leadership Institute on celebrating 10 YEARS of meaningful work for the advancement of women leaders in Utah. We are lucky to have Patricia Jones — her brains, her heart, her leadership. I am lucky to have these great leaders in my life, in the various ways we exist inside Utah’s private, public, and nonprofit ecosystems. TOGETHER, we are all building community and empowering women.

Organizational Transformation and Change Leader | People Operations + Strategy | Leadership Coach

Today was a significant milestone for women in Utah as the Women's Leadership Institute celebrated 10 years of powerful impact within our State. Together we honored the ways in which this organization, business leaders and community champions have partnered together to elevate the status of women in political, senior and Board level roles. Patricia Jones and Nicole Carpenter - it’s has been an incredible privilege to witness the impact of your leadership and work grow exponentially each year. Together with Patti Cook you’ve consistently gathered us as business and State leaders - armed with tactical strategies and clear direction - to mentor, invest, elevate and not settle for the status quo. On a personal note, thank you for inviting me in during the “early years” and creating space for me to pay forward the ways others have invested in my own growth. I’m so proud to have you both as colleagues and friends. If your organization has not taken the #ElevateHER challenge, I encourage you to learn more and sponsor women in your company to attend the Career Development Series, Rising Leader Program or the Political Development Series. Becky Marquette, Alison Cheney, Susan Schembri, PMP, MBA, Brenda Betteridge and Denee Hayes …spending time with you is always icing on the cake!

No one creates #change alone. It takes a team of people with concerted effort and passion to make something happen. To our current and past board members, countless speakers who've engaged our cohorts, companies that have caught the vision and are implementing the #ElevateHER challenge, numerous business and political allies, and a thousand women who have gone through our programs, we say THANK YOU. This decade would not have been the same without you. Your efforts have created hope that change, though often slower than we'd like, is possible. Help us spread the word as we honor that change, honor you, and look together with an eye to the future. There are so many possibilities in store. #womensleadership #wli #elevateherchallenge #genderequality
