The program will be offered in both English and Spanish to reach and empower a broader audience. "In order for women to succeed, we have to listen to women." - Ukraine's Ambassador to the United States, Oksana Markarova. Ambassador Markarova, who spoke during our first of six virtual conferences hit the nail on the head. We have to listen to what women actually need. And sometimes, like on day 1000 of an invasion, that is particularly difficult. During the third virtual conferences today featuring women entrepreneurs in Ukraine, one of our keynote speakers abruptly had to leave her office because of a power outage and deliver her remarks in a cafe. She did so with grace and delivered a powerful message about the work her organization is doing to support startups in Ukraine. We had another speaker message us last night to let us know she wasn't sure if she would be able to connect because there was shelling in her area. She was able to connect and provided fantastic content. Both speakers exemplify the resilience, strength and tenacity of Ukrainian women. And we heard them. ???? It is HARD to start and run a small business in any context. Imagine how hard it is under these conditions. And yet they keep going, even after 1000 days. Ukrainian women inspire us and motivate us every single day to identify areas of support, and barriers that need to be removed, to fully unleash the brilliance of these women.
