The Western New York Foundation makes grants in the seven counties of Western New York State: Erie, Niagara, Genesee, Wyoming, Allegany, Cattaraugus, and Chautauqua. Contributions are given to non profits, organizations that serve children, troubled youth, low income and needy individuals, senior citizens, victims of abuse, educational institutions, youth organizations such as the Boys & Girls Clubs, Boy Scouts of America, Girl Scouts of America, Junior Achievement, Cultural organizations including performing arts, visual arts, historical centers, public and educational broadcasting, environmental education and conservation programs, Civic service organizations that handle crime prevention, parks and recreation facilities or community development.
