As we approach the Thanksgiving holiday in the US this week, what we serve on our tables in terms of food and drink will play a starring role. This article from Just Drinks highlights how far we have yet to go on corporate #waterstewardship even in the beverage sector. For instance, "very few companies report on water scarcity at the watershed level and even fewer report on water quality." It's never too late to get started, or to revise current #water strategies in light of a constantly shifting risk environment. The Water Council

We held a fascinating discussion Wednesday at Grande Cheese Company in Fond du Lac. A small group of cheesemakers, solution providers, researchers and a wastewater treatment plant operator discussed water and energy challenges for small manufacturers and utilities and how we can start addressing them using a circular watershed approach. This discussion was part of our Water + Energy Forward Engine through a Development Award from the National Science Foundation (NSF). We're excited to see what comes out of the connections made this week! #WEForward #cheese #WaterTechnology Saputo Inc. Excited to be speaking once again on understanding water use, impact and risk at the Rockwell Automation Fair in Anaheim tomorrow. Also excited to miss the first snow of the season in #MKE but I digress. Rockwell continues to program excellent #sustainability content at the Fair and this year is no different. As a strategic partner of The Water Council, Rockwell knows the value of #waterstewardship and through our combined efforts we seek to speed up the transformation of industrial processes and technologies that improve water outcomes globally. We had a great time last week with our member and partner Veolia North America during the Veolia Milwaukee Open Pickleball Tournament. We joined Veolia staff for a river cleanup near our headquarters on Wednesday and for a night of #pickleball playing and watching on Thursday. The Water Council and Veolia recently announced the launch of the Water & Wastewater Workforce Center in Milwaukee, and this year Veolia also named the wastewater treatment plant in Milwaukee its first Ecofactory in North America. They are part of what makes #Milwaukee the place #WhereWaterWorks!
