I have had the utmost pleasure to be a part of The Washington Center Career Launch Bootcamp program. The program provided me a refresher and further taught me in enhancing key skills such as what to include in a federal resume, how to negotiate salaries and benefits, as well as how to effectively brand yourself to name a few. In the course of the program one of our panelists Jordan Baker bestowed insightful knowledge on her professional journey and provided advice on the steps to take to further our careers. Additionally, I had the opportunity to visit Axis Communications in Virginia, learning about their company as well as how to meet expectations within the early stages of your career. During this program I had the chance to connect with one of the most brightest and career oriented students. It was such a joy to hear the student's personal stories, their ambitions, and their passion about their interest and career path. Each of these students have such great potential and I can not wait to see what opportunities that may come for them! Being a part of this program made me realize that I am on the right path, truly feeling like I belonged. I am truly grateful for this experience and represent Towson University to its fullest, I hope to potentially participate in another program from The Washington Center. I will be cheering you all on and look forward to potentially working with you all in the near future!
