Today is a big day for my family, please help me share the big news. ??
Many of you have followed the journey of my family over the past two years. It has been a path marked by unimaginable love, profound loss, and a relentless pursuit of resilience. Last year, we lost our first born daughter, Violet. 2023 became a year of grappling with grief when we had hoped it would be a year of immense joy. As an avid journal keeper, I captured the highs and lows, the triumphs and heartbreaks, the moments of despair, and the flickers of hope.
Today, it’s with mixed emotions, vulnerability, gratitude, and a sense of purpose, that I share our family’s story in my new book, Violet’s Are Blue.
This book is more than just a recounting of loss; it’s a tribute to her enduring presence in our lives, and a testament to the strength of the human spirit. Through our story, I hope to shine a light for others who are struggling with loss , grief and depression. We want others to know they are not alone and that they will persevere. Violet’s Are Blue is an honest, raw, and intimate journey through grief, healing, and finding our way back to our new normal.
We share our lessons learned, the victories and setbacks, and the everyday realities of navigating grief, depression, and the anxiety that comes with such a life-altering loss. I hope this book serves as a companion to those who find themselves adrift in the same turbulent waters of grief, offering comfort, and maybe even a bit of light to guide them forward.
Violet’s Are Blue is both a tribute to our beloved daughter and a beacon of hope for anyone who has loved and lost. It’s about embracing the pain, sitting with it, and ultimately rising again to discover that even in the darkest times, the light of love never fades.
