Our team had the privilege of attending the Every Child Conference this past weekend, where some of our amazing foster parents shared their experiences and insights! ?? ?? Family Preservation Panel: Jess Degenhardt, one of our Clinical Directors, moderated this powerful discussion featuring Villages foster parents Jamie Potter, Martha Pfleeger, and Shaunteena Miller. They shared how foster parents can partner with birth families by including them in medical appointments, maintaining healthy communication, and supporting reunification with empathy and respect. ?? Transracial Adoption & Foster Care Panel: Villages foster parent Pam Jones joined this impactful session, emphasizing the importance of cultural identity and representation for children in care. A heartwarming moment unfolded when Pam reconnected with an adoptive parent who had previously adopted a child in her care—what an incredible reunion! We’re so grateful for our foster families and the love they pour into the children they care for, and for our staff who work tirelessly to support and uplift them every step of the way. ?? #FosterCare #EveryChild
