On Tuesday, we honored 9-year-old Miles ?? A few days after his birthday, Miles started experiencing double vision. An MRI revealed a brain tumor and Miles was rushed to Children's Mercy Kansas City for emergency brain surgery. Treatment for his tumor is limited, so Miles receives high-dose chemotherapy each month. His family is hopeful for medical advances and new treatment options. Miles and his family are grateful for the amazing care of Dr. Ginn at Children's Mercy, and for the support of friends & family. Throughout his medical challenges, Miles has proven to be resilient and empathetic.
