Job Opening: Quality Systems Specialist Location: CA Pay Rate: $40-45/hour Background: Our client is seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Quality Systems Specialist to provide hands-on support for various Quality, Policy, and System initiatives. This is a hybrid position with 2-3 days/week expected onsite. Job Responsibilities: -Independently review, initiate, complete, and thoroughly document critical, major, and minor change controls, managing local and global change controls related to GxP operations. -Facilitate cross-functional meetings with stakeholders and leadership to ensure alignment with proposed changes and compliance to QMS expectations. -Navigate through complex change review discussions, facilitating common decisions and documenting evaluations accordingly. -Support management and monitoring of change records for adherence to organizational or departmental metric targets, and maintain associated tracking tools/databases. -Support management review process through development and generation of quality system metrics and trending, and escalate issues as required. -Support maintenance and improvement of quality systems processes as needed. -Work directly with operating entities and internal clients to ensure follow-up of change tasks. -Participate in compliance audits as required. -Maintain programs and processes to ensure high-quality products and compliance with current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMPs). -Write and/or implement changes to controlled documents (e.g., SOPs, Specifications, Methods, etc.) as needed. -Provide guidance and technical knowledge to junior staff, monitoring their performance of daily tasks. -Manage change controls related to manufacturing product, process, equipment, facility, and computerized systems, contributing to oversight of key strategic, tactical, and operational goals. Required Skills: -Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., Pharmaceutical Sciences, Chemistry, Biology, Engineering, or related discipline). -4+ years of experience in the pharmaceutical/biotech industry. -Experience with Change Control and GMP. -Familiarity with 21 CFR Part 11 regulations. Desired Skills: -Experience with Veeva QMS.
