Peter is a true hospitality professional with extensive experience in successfully managing and enhancing private country club, golf club, and city club operations. Peter’s focus and proven track record prioritize member experience, staff satisfaction and retention, and financial management. Peter earned a B.S. in Marketing and Professional Golf Management. He holds many certifications and affiliations, but several of interest are: Certified Club Manager, (CCM), Certified Club Executive (CEE), Honor Society Member of the Club Management Association of America (CMA), and he is a PGA Life Member. In addition, he is a US Culinary Skills Course Graduate, obtained skill level in Fine Dining Culinary Skills and Fast-Food Culinary Skills, and Court of Masters: Sommelier Level One Training. And, interestingly, he is a Level 5 USA Hockey Coach. We are excited about Peter joining the VGCC family and leading our Club toward our future vision. We had the pleasure of hosting Michael Hadsell and Marie Aquilina from the Peace River K9 Search and Rescue Association Inc. for a fantastic VGCC "U" presentation. Michael shared valuable information about the nonprofit organization's work and treated us to an exciting live demonstration with two remarkable K9s: Damma and Beamer. Damma, a highly skilled German Shepherd, is a nationally certified Search and Rescue K9. She specializes in Live Find Tracking with Article Indications and Human Remains Detection, as well as Area Search and Cellphone Recovery. Not only that, but she is also a vital member of the water rescue team. With seven years of active duty experience, Damma is truly an asset to the team. Beamer, a Mixed Fox Terrier, is a nationally certified Human Remains Detection K9. Beamer serves on both Land and Water teams and is also certified in Live Find Human Tracking. He has been with the PRSAR since 2016, showcasing his impressive abilities. It was truly a pleasure to witness these exceptional K9s in action and learn more about the incredible work of the Peace River K9 Search and Rescue organization. #VGCC #PRSAR

Today I get to announce that I have achieved my CCM designation. Starting the process in 2008 and finishing 15 years later! I could not have accomplished this without support from the Clubs I have had the opportunity to work, colleagues I have had the pleasure of spending numerous hours in classes and at events, and most importantly my family who have had to endure the long work hours and time away to attend education. This holds special meaning for me as my Step-Father and Mentor Robert LeFever, CCM, CCE, who started me on this path and was a voice of encouragement from day 1, passed away 3 years ago. I know he was on my shoulder during the exam! In the words of RJL "Hooty Hoot!"
