Peter is a true hospitality professional with extensive experience in successfully managing and enhancing private country club, golf club, and city club operations. Peter’s focus and proven track record prioritize member experience, staff satisfaction and retention, and financial management. Peter earned a B.S. in Marketing and Professional Golf Management. He holds many certifications and affiliations, but several of interest are: Certified Club Manager, (CCM), Certified Club Executive (CEE), Honor Society Member of the Club Management Association of America (CMA), and he is a PGA Life Member. In addition, he is a US Culinary Skills Course Graduate, obtained skill level in Fine Dining Culinary Skills and Fast-Food Culinary Skills, and Court of Masters: Sommelier Level One Training. And, interestingly, he is a Level 5 USA Hockey Coach. We are excited about Peter joining the VGCC family and leading our Club toward our future vision. For over two decades, Jim has been a beacon of inspiration, guiding VGCC with passion, integrity, and a steadfast commitment to environmental stewardship. From spearheading sustainability initiatives to fostering a culture of conservation within our community and beyond, Jim's impact has been nothing short of transformative. As we reflect on his remarkable tenure, we extend our deepest appreciation to Jim for his tireless dedication and leadership. The Clubhouse Pond plaque that was dedicated to Jim Schell on this day serves as a symbol of our profound gratitude and admiration.
