This year, we're feeling especially grateful to our village of water champions who support, guide, and strengthen the Value of Water Campaign?? VOW's Steering Committee is a dedicated coalition of organizations from all walks of the water sector—and this year, they have traveled the country to workshop campaign strategies, delivered resources to the steps of our nation's Capitol, deployed communications teams to help build the water movement, hosted events in their spaces and communities, and demonstrated at each step of the way what it means to be true water champions. Cheers to the people behind the scenes keeping our water movement strong—thank you! To see a full list of these wonderful partners, visit: https://lnkd.in/e8k4daqi

Last week, Americans confirmed what we know to be true: that water is not only a priority voter issue, but one that unifies us. Across the country, ballot propositions supporting innovative water funding won big with strong bipartisan support: ??Proposition JJ (Colorado): increased cap from sports betting revenue, which funds water projects; passed with 76% support ??Amendment 1 (Louisiana): funnels certain oil, gas, and energy renewables revenue to coastal protection fund; passed with 72% support ??Proposition 2 (New York, Suffolk County): created a sales tax fund dedicated to cleaning waterways and improving drinking water quality; passed with 71% support No single source will be enough to fund solutions for all of the water challenges across the country. Kudos to all of the states and localities for recognizing the need and building the momentum to get it done!
