?? Vinnytsia Regional Council joined the cybersecurity diagnostic program for critical infrastructure operators (CIOs). Information systems diagnostics for the Vinnytsia Oblast Council will be conducted with the USAID Cybersecurity Activity’s support and using the National Institute of Standards and Technology’s methodology. ? The diagnostics will last about six months and will help to: ?? determine the state of security of the institution's information systems ?? identify weaknesses and potential risks ?? develop solutions and strategies to eliminate potential risks ? Currently, more than 40 state institutions and organizations are members of the cybersecurity diagnostic program for critical infrastructure operators (CIOs). ?? The USAID Cybersecurity Activity contributes to Ukraine’s cyber resilience in every way,?thereby making Ukraine stronger in cyberspace.

State Service of Special Communications and Information Protection of Ukraine organized the CIREX.Cyber.Ransomware training with support from the USAID Cybersecurity Activity ? ?? Around forty representatives of government agencies and enterprises responsible for protecting Ukraine’s critical infrastructure in the transport sector participated in the event. They learned about typical ransomware cyberattack scenarios and enhanced their skills for responding to such threats. ? ?? During the discussion, participants agreed that effective cybersecurity implies not only using advanced technological solutions but also requires continuous improvement and the best practices. Regular staff training and constantly enhancing security policies based on practical experience are key factors in ensuring organizational resilience to cyber threats. The training also emphasized the importance of effective communication within organizations, between entities at the sectoral level, and with the public. ? With support from the USAID Cybersecurity Activity, Anna participated in the SelectUSA Investment Summit 2024, the largest investment event of the year. ?? “The summit was not only a platform for networking but also an opportunity to reevaluate our business model,” Anna shared. As part of the Ukrainian delegation, she met with representatives of the cybersecurity cluster and international companies, which helped to make important decisions for developing Cybrex.ai. Anna recommends other startups take advantage of the opportunities #USAID provides: “Business is, first and foremost, about people. Events like these not only allow you to discover new trends or stay updated on the latest IT news, but also open up new perspectives for business growth.” Anna’s story also challenges stereotypes about #womenintech ???? ???? ???? ???? “I don’t face discrimination in cybersecurity. The community is actively working on gender equality, and this is inspiring,” says Anna. She encourages women to pursue technical professions and seek support among like-minded people. Our instructors actively use this equipment during classes, giving us hands-on experience and improving our skills,” says Sofia. ? Sofia is focused on her future career. “The security of Ukraine's cyberspace depends on my knowledge and skills. After graduation, my job will be to protect important data and resources. For over 12 years, Taras has been a key player in ensuring Ukraine’s energy system remains operational despite immense challenges like cyber attacks. ? USAID Cybersecurity Activity provided Ukrenergo with specialized equipment to strengthen the security and resilience of its operations in the face of Russia’s constant attacks on Ukraine’s energy infrastructure. ?? Ukrenergo’s teams use this equipment to protect critical information and maintain real-time decision-making during an attack, helping prevent power outages and speeding up recovery. "The combination of Ukrenergo’s deep understanding of the risks and USAID’s expertise allows us to approach challenges from a broader perspective and find the most effective, flexible solutions. It’s truly a coordinated partnership," shares Taras. ??
