On the way back from an incredible event at Pace, Patrick Sanders began discussing the question posed for the evening: Why does the world need more builders? Our answer was a simple one: Because more people than ever need a bridge to reach their next step. At The Front Yard, we listened to a powerful conversation between Daniel Lubetzky and Marvin Krislov, President of Pace University - Lubin School of Business, about what it truly means to be a builder. Daniel’s journey is a testament to the 4 Ps in action: ?? Person – A founder willing to take risks, Daniel launched PeaceWorks, paying himself just $24K a year for a decade while learning through trial and error. ?? Purpose – With Kind Bar, he believed in making the product the protagonist—letting quality and value lead first, so the mission behind it could be something the public would adopt and champion over time. ?? Profits – More than just revenue, profits came from the energy surplus of having strong partners and advisors. During a personally challenging time, when quitting might have seemed easy, it was his network that cast a vote of confidence, pushing forward when he wasn’t sure he could. ?? Partners – Success wasn’t built alone. The strength of his relationships, from his team to his supporters, played a crucial role in shaping the future of Kind. But Daniel’s story is about more than individual resilience—it highlights the role businesses play in building the bridges people need to succeed.
