The average cost for a company to defend a single EEOC claim is $75K and the average settlement amount is $40K per claimant. This cost increases based upon the severity of the offense and the overall impact to the victimized person(s). Company resources can help shield their respective companies from these costs by creating and maintaining safe work spaces. Although many company resources try, they fail because they aren't aware of those abusive behaviors that are accepted as part of everyday social interactions and behaviors.
