The Management and Entrepreneurship Department in the Haslam College of Business at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville, strives to provide high-quality education in the management discipline from the undergraduate to the doctoral level through a creative balance of academic, professional and extracurricular programs. We work to foster mutually beneficial partnerships with our alumni and friends. Local, state and federal governments, as well as industry, are all vital to our mission. Our outreach includes public service assistance and collaborative research, and we aim to be a major contributor to the nation’s knowledge base through scholarship and research on general management and leadership.

We would love to say Happy National Intern Day to our many interns! This summer alone, we have over 175 students interning not only across the United States, but across the globe as well! We look forward to hearing all of their stories when they return to Rocky Top in 4 short weeks and to support all of the students still preparing to intern in the coming semesters! We are so proud of and celebrate each of you!

How do employees successfully manage the transition to a new leadership role??Forty-eight teams across 5 sections of an upper-level Organizational Behavior course at the Haslam College of Business at the University of Tennessee College of Business tackled this challenge in the 11th bi-annual OB Case Competition. Student teams analyzed a business case study provided by corporate partner Hajoca Corporation and showcased their problem-solving and critical thinking skills by presenting their case solution to a panel of judges. This year's winning team members were Jack Egan , Caleb Foster, Teagan Fowler, Cassie Griffin, and Savanna Parker. Congratulations?to all 48 teams competing in the spring 2024 event and thanks to Caroline Fletcher, Stephanie Schubert, David I Holguin, and Theron Alcazar for their commitment to UTK, the Department of Management & Entrepreneurship and our business students!
