We’ve got a busy and eventful October lined up at UICA, full of opportunities to connect, celebrate, and engage with the Hawkeye community. ?? October 15: Join us for a special Literary Legends event featuring Pulitzer Prize-winning author Tracy Kidder, open to the public. ?? October 20-26: Homecoming week is here! We’ll be at the Homecoming Parade on October 25, handing out footballs as we celebrate with fellow Hawkeyes. And don’t miss the Homecoming Game on October 26 at 2:30pm as we face Northwestern! ?? During Homecoming week, we’re hosting the Graduates of the Last Decade (GOLD) Board Meeting and the UICA Board of Directors Meeting. We’ll honor Distinguished Alumni for their outstanding contributions on October 25. ?? Internally, we’re gearing up for our Fall Festival, where the office will be full of fun with decorations, trick-or-treating for staff kiddos, cornhole, pizza, cookie decorating, and virtual pumpkin carving. It’s going to be a month full of excitement, and we can’t wait to celebrate with our team and the broader Hawkeye community!

This weekend, in partnership with South Slope Cooperative Communications and Rival Warz, we're hosting the first-of-its-kind eSports fundraiser in Kinnick Stadium! After raising $200 for the UI Health Care Stead Family Children's Hospital, tournament participants will play the newly released EA Sports College Football 25 on Duke Slater field. What makes this event extra special? The College Football 25 video game includes current Iowa players and an emotional, animated clip of fans doing the one and only Hawkeye Wave. ????
