Hello! We’re Ugly. And proud of it! Located in Farmersville, CA, The Ugly Company, Inc., is a food CPG start-up that prevents food waste by transforming ugly fruit into healthy dried fruit snacks. In 2023 , we prevented 3.75 million pounds of fruit from being wasted and we’re just getting started. Our vision is to achieve zero food waste at farms globally. Origin Story The Ugly Company was founded in 2018 by Fourth Generation Farmer Ben Moore. Growing up in the Central Valley of California, Ben witnessed farms throwing away millions of pounds of fresh produce due to minor cosmetic imperfections. After years of seeing this Ugly truth first-hand, he knew something had to be done – thus The Ugly Company was born.
