Capping off a 2 year partnership! ?? Wouldn't change a thing except for maybe that there was roadkill taxidermy in my training space (science room) for the final session ?? Shout out to Sequoia Union High School District, especially our partners Taja Henderson and Victoria Dye for continuing to invite us in. We've spent the past two years serving this district of 11 schools, building with their educators, centering workplace wellbeing, and pushing for cultures of belonging across their diverse staff! We've offered: ???? 4 cycles of our Space Holding Fellowship resulting in a total of 40 hours of training for 65 educators across the district to lead PD sessions, facilitate small group discussions, and support site leadership by cultivating more space holders ???? 20 hours of PDs on topics ranging from Stress Resilience to Time Management for Sustainability and Balancing Intersectional Identities ???? Countless hours of consulting, connecting, and planning with district staff Gratitude to Lupe Lemus-Calderon and Lena Anthony for stewarding this client with care and excellence- you both have represented The Teaching Well with presence and rigor. Also, appreciation to Alia Peera for getting out of those grant writing crates to be in the field, gather testimonials, and conduct observations of our trainings to stay anchored in the work! Pinch me, I love what we do! ?? #nonprofitleadership #professionaldevelopment #fellowship #workplacewellbeing #educatorretention #districtpartnerships

The Teaching Well’s Signature Model Program empowers school communities through 3 to 5 year all-staff partnerships. Our team collaborates with your staff to work at the personal, interpersonal and systemic levels to build healthy cultures. This multi-tiered approach helps to create a common language and strategy toolkit for teams to not only do the work of self-care, but to expand into collective care. This program has been proven to retain, on average, 8 out of every 10 educators at their school site, saving districts nearly $6 million dollars in hiring and on-boarding related costs! Still on last week... #sxswedu2025 A HUGE highlight was attending Leadership Journey's produced by Big Picture Learning, hosted by Carlos R. Moreno featuring the stories of three incredible education leaders Yolanda Sealey-Ruiz, Shameka G. and Christian Martinez. Saying it was ?? does not do justice to the thoughtfully crafted format for the evening, the powerful stories that emerged, and the incredible DJ set that filled our bodies and souls with the joy that only our music can bring. Katherine Genao promised me that I would laugh, cry and sweat out my edges out... and baby... you did not disappoint! Thank you to all who made this night the medicine we all needed "in times such as this" and thank you to my LeveragED Foundation family for inviting us to roll with your crew. Speaking of justice... the night wouldn't have been complete without a boogie down with my fellow HGSE brother from another mother Justis Lopez. It's always a party when you are in the space my friend. Do it again next month at ASU+GSV??? ???? ???? And the cherry on top was running into Dhriti P. Stocks, Ph.D. who made a point to pull Tiffany Hamilton, Ed.D., CDE? and I aside to let us know that she tunes into our new podcast "Gather at the Well" featuring the voice of our ED the incomparable Lindsey Fuller produced for The Teaching Well by our friends at We Are For Good. You never know who's listening or how things land, but as the resident doula behind this innovations project, it warmed my heart to know that our "podcast that teaches" does not fall on deaf ears, that the world is tuning in, and we are inspiring change leadership in our own special way. If you are curious to tune in... Season 2, Episode 1 just dropped focusing on Human Centered Leadership, and we still have 6 episodes of Season 1: Microdosing Wellness locked and loaded for you to dip into the wellspring as needed. Check it out https://lnkd.in/g2A4P7ur
