The SUP Veteran's mission is to give our Active Duty and Veteran heroes an opportunity to reconnect and rekindle common bonds from shared experiences while learning a new skill (stand-up paddle surfing) taught by world class instructors. This connection, combined with the restorative and healing power of the ocean, surfing, bowl meditation therapy, mobility/flexibility/strength training and hydro therapy/massage make for an incredibly positive, life-changing experience.?SURF. Gratitude. Camaraderie. And several 55 gallon drums of Stoke!!! ??♂? ??♀? ??♂? ??♀? Those three descriptors perfectly frame the results of our just-completed sixth retreat!! From 9 - 14 November, the Stand Up Veterans Foundation (thesupvets.org) in conjunction with our partners, GenRation (genration.com), hosted 9 amazing Veterans at the Grand Palladium Vallarta Resort in Punta de Mita, Mexico. In addition to world class (and world champion) instruction on how to surf with a stand-up paddle board, our guests were also introduced to Deepak Chopra bowl meditation therapy, mobility exercises, and hydrotherapy/massage. All in all, an amazing group and amazing results. Can't wait for the next one! SURF. LIVE.

SURF. LIVE. On a beautiful overcast Saturday, May 4th in North County San Diego, the Stand Up Veterans Foundation and our partners, GenRation, hosted 12 amazing Active Duty and Veteran heroes for a day of renewed camaraderie, connecting with the healing power of the ocean, and improving their ability to surf on a stand-up paddle board. The feeling of stoke was off the charts all day!! ??♂? ??♂? ??♂? We'd like to thank the amazing instructors from GenRation for their outstanding instruction and insight: Ian Cairns, Daniel Hughes, and Sean Poynter! Finally, we are planning our next retreat in Punta de Mita, Mexico for November.
