  • Meet our Products and Marketing Advisor Sam Ahern! Sam shares her personal road to sobriety which motivated her to get involved with our organization: “Ending the stigma with addiction is a cause close to my heart which is why I was excited to join the board of Sun Never Sets. Removing the stigma and releasing the shame in order to admit I was an alcoholic 8 years ago completely transformed my life. I was able to get the tools I needed to live a happy, healthy, sober life. I want to continue to give back to the community, sponsoring others and serving in speaking engagements to give people the tools to transform their lives so they can thrive.” Every story deserves to be heard?? • Meet Steven Wolfe, father to Riley Wolfe. Steve is our Treasurer and he shares why he joined our team: "The stigmatism around opioids in our society is a multi-generational challenge. This is why I chose to join the team at The Sun Never Sets - to represent not only our younger generations, but also mine, for we must combat stigma in every sector of our society every day. The Sun Never Sets gives me the opportunity to help."

Meet our Board President, Chelsea Ortega, PT, DPT, SCS, CSCS. Chelsea shares why she started The Sun Never Sets: "My brother, Riley, passed away from an opioid overdose in 2017. Riley fought opioid addiction after a career ending knee injury as a soccer player - during his fight, he often referred to the stigma surrounding addiction and how it kept him from getting the full treatment he needed. Riley was the brightest light, and we want to help keep other lights shining in the face of addiction." Help us spread the light by taking the pledge on our website: https://lnkd.in/gxKdgKUz
