#MemberMonday The American Sugar Cane League is a non-profit organization of Louisiana sugarcane growers and processors. They are dedicated to supporting the Louisiana sugarcane industry through research, legislation, product promotion, education and public relations.

More than just sweet taste, Mother Nature knew what she was doing when she made real sugar.

#MemberMonday: Over the past few years, the team at Michigan Sugar Company's Croswell factory has earned the nickname “The Record Breakers.” That’s because since 2020, they have established more than a half dozen new records for sugarbeet slicing and sugar production. Last week, they were at it again. On Oct. 17, 2024, the Croswell factory established a new mark for Weekly Average Slice of 5,598 tons, surpassing the previous record set in 2023 of 5,349 tons by 249 tons. "To set a record of this nature and to break it by that much is impressive. You have to run consistently and steady; that's what we're trying to do over here. This is how you level up," said Croswell Factory Manager Randy Lesniak. “It starts with quality beets delivered by the growers, handled by our Ag Department, and processed through our factory. It's the whole team that's making this possible.
