The Suffolk County Bar Association’s Charity Foundation donated $20,000.00 to RISE Life Services, a children’s suicide prevention program in Suffolk County. ? Rise Life Services actively engages with Suffolk County vulnerable at-risk youth, connects with them, and saves lives by providing the highest quality of mental health services, recreational activities, family support services, educational and vocational support, and wellness strategies – all free of charge to the participant. ? As part of LI Human Trafficking Awareness Week, the last of two programs was held on yesterday at Cohalan Central Jury Room. “The Role and Ethical Obligations of Attorneys Representing Human Trafficking Victims” focused on the collaborative effort of attorneys and agencies such as EAC Network Safe Harbour Mentoring, ECLI-VIBES, Suffolk County Department of Probation and Long Island Advocacy Ctr in providing trauma-informed services to survivors and how to properly escort clients through the process of obtaining services.
