关于我们
We believe that every young person who stutters has a voice that matters and it is a voice that deserves to be heard! Our Mission To empower young people who stutter and inspire the world to treat them with compassion and respect so they can achieve their dreams. Our Vision A world where every voice matters The Need Over 80 million people stutter on a daily basis, including 5% of all children. Young people who stutter often face unimaginable fear and cruelty from a world that doesn’t understand them. Over time, they may recoil from the world, silencing themselves to hide their stutter, embarrassment and shame. Young people who stutter may also feel incredibly isolated and alone, and many face daily ridicule, teasing and bullying. Since 2001, The Stuttering Association for the Young, a non-profit 501(c)(3), has offered comprehensive, innovative programs that address the physical, social and emotional impacts of stuttering. For 13 years, so many incredible children have come to our programs in despair. We have been lifted by their courage and have witnessed the transformation that occurs when children who stutter develop the self-confidence, lasting friendships and support they need to express themselves fully and follow their dream. Our Programs SAY offers several innovative programs: Camp SAY: Our sleep-away summer camp provides a uniquely fun, highly immersive and transformative experience for young people who stutter. After-School Arts: Our unique approach helps young people develop essential communication skills, forge new friendships and fully express their thoughts, ideas and dreams. Speech Therapy: We help young people who stutter build self-confidence, enjoy greater independence, increase school participation and advocate for themselves. When you support SAY, you make anything possible in the life of a child who stutters. Learn more at www.SAY.org

Wow, this night was nothing short of magical. SAY alumni and participants Carmelo, Daniella, Keon, and Klanell performed at the Find Your Light Foundation Gala at?Jazz at Lincoln Center, founded by the inspiring Josh Groban. ?? With the dazzling NYC cityscape glowing behind them, our young people shared their voices and stories to a sold-out crowd, alongside incredible talents like Misty Copeland, Sara Bareilles, JoJo, Renée?Fleming, The U.S. Surgeon General?Dr. Vivek Murthy, Matthew Whitaker, India Carney, Angel Blue, Chasten Buttigieg, Natalie Tenenbaum, and SO many more. The evening was filled with joy, community, and, yes, beautiful stuttering. We are SO proud of these young performers for bringing their full selves to every space they enter, lighting up the stage with their courage and brilliance. This night will stay in our hearts for a long time. ?
