At The Study Hall, we believe in nurturing well-rounded individuals through our Five-Point Scholar Model. Take a minute to read about how we provide our scholars with opportunities that prepare them for a bright and successful future. -Academic Enrichment: Our skilled Academic Coaches provide homework assistance after school to enhance the at-school performance of our Scholars. Our scholars also participate in project-based learning activities related to STEAM. -Cultural Enrichment: Scholars have opportunity to participate in the performing arts and culinary arts. Our field trip roster is also rich with tours of art and history museums. -Civic Engagement: By encouraging active participation in community service and civic activities, we instill a sense of responsibility and leadership in our scholars. -Financial Literacy: Our scholars are learning skills that will enable them to create personal financial and career plans, become entrepreneurs, and be contributing members to their community. What an incredible day it has been! Part I of The Study Hall's vegetable and sensory garden is officially complete, and we couldn't be more grateful for the amazing support we've received. A huge shoutout to The Home Depot Foundation for generously providing the funds that made this project possible. We also want to extend our deepest gratitude to the volunteers from the Home Depot headquarters who rolled up their sleeves and put in the hard work to build these beautiful planters. Your dedication and effort truly make a difference! But wait, there's more! Part II is coming up on April 10th, where we'll continue this amazing journey with more even more Home Depot volunteers. Together, they'll be planting vegetables and flowers alongside our scholars. The planters look absolutely stunning, and we can't wait to see them bursting with life! It's time to fire up the grill and raise a glass at The Study Hall's Bourbon & BBQ spring fundraiser on April 25th, 2024, at the Cherokee Town & Country Club from 5pm – 8pm. Join us for an evening packed with games, live entertainment, and of course Bourbon & BBQ. It's the perfect opportunity to mingle, have fun, and support a great cause. For those of you who may not know, we wanted to take a moment to reflect on what The Study Hall has been up to lately. After partnering with KIPP Woodson Park Academy back in August 2022, our school based after school program has been a huge success and has expanded from 50 scholars to 100, with a wait list! In our mission to expand our reach even further we have now moved our head quarters into the Collier Heights community, and work with scholars from the neighboring schools, Harper Archer Elementary, Collier Heights Elementary, and Atlanta Heights Charter. And guess what? The excitement doesn't end there! This June, we're thrilled to host Camp Exploration at our Collier Heights location, ensuring that young minds continue to thrive even during the summer break. Your support at the Bourbon & BBQ directly fuels our initiatives, enabling us to provide essential resources, to our scholars like, transportation to and from our program, and nutritious meals at ZERO cost.
