Lack of Strategic Focus: Meetings consumed with operational issues instead of long-term strategy. 2. Poor Communication: Board members talk past each other or avoid tough conversations. 3. Low Engagement: Low attendance, members seem disengaged/distracted during meetings. 4. Frequent Conflict: Disagreements linger without resolution, creating tension. 5. Unclear Roles and Responsibilities: Members are unsure of their roles or overlap in tasks, causing confusion. 6. Resistance to Innovation: Board resists new ideas, changes, or approaches. 7. Lack of Cohesion: There’s little sense of teamwork/alignment on key issues. 8. Declining Organizational Performance: The organization isn’t meeting goals or responding effectively to challenges. 9.
