It was wonderful to attend the SOSA Fintech Innovation panel with powerhouses Toan Huynh, Laura Rowson, and Bruno de Roquefeuil, moderated by the brilliant Kange Kaneene. #startups - here are some insights for you to help you fundraise! Toan - > when you walk into a room, spend some time learning about the fund and investor priorities to position the conversation in the right direction. Ask if they invested in your sector, the average check size, the last time they deployed. Best piece of advice from the panelists: ?? Be a good operator (Toan). Know your business and the top 3 things you need to do to run it well. ?? Be an engaging storyteller (Bruno). ?? Build relationships early (Laura). Fundraising takes time and no one will invest after the first email. ?? Be honest (Kange). Exaggeration and lack of transparency are big red flags.
