Do you also get reflective at the end of the year? I certainly do. There have been so many highlights this year, for which I’m grateful. When I started The Stark Firm some 20 years ago, the landscape was very different for women-owned businesses. This year really brought home how much things have changed. National Association of Minority & Women Owned Law Firms (NAMWOLF)’s Annual conference coming to Atlanta this year was a big milestone.? Not only was it great to have this event in my hometown, it was inspiring to meet so many other women who are charting their path to success in the legal profession. Equally inspiring is the growing number of major companies that are intentionally diversifying their supplier base, creating opportunities for women-owned businesses. The Women Presidents Organization’s Entrepreneurial Excellence Forum in Colorado marked an important milestone in my own journey as an entrepreneur. This year I joined the Platinum chapter. I have already learned so much from this group of smart, accomplished, fun women who have been generous with their advice and insights. One of the most fulfilling parts of my year has been working with the impactful team at the Season of Hope Signature Event. I am honored to be a co-chair of the Season of Hope Gala this year to benefit the Marcus Autism Center. It’s just heartwarming to see so many great organizations come out in support of this worthy cause. And, this year I had the privilege of meeting great new clients.
