Representatives from The Standard gathered in Altavista, Va., recently to dedicate a new energy-efficient tiny home at Valor Farm. This home, funded by a $60,000 grant from The Standard Charitable Foundation, is part of a program that helps veterans transition into successful personal and professional lives. As Jeremy Horner, vice president of Individual Disability Insurance and Corporate Development, said at a recent ceremony, “We are grateful for the character, courage and commitment with which our nation’s veterans have served our country, and we are honored to dedicate this home for the purpose of caring and supporting them for decades to come as they recover and take their next steps.”
