Team Oregon is putting together a sixes lacrosse tournament so we are reaching out to see if anyone would be interested in forming a team or two to enter the tournament. We've created a google doc to gather interest so fill it out and share with anyone who may want to form a team!! https://lnkd.in/gZaHyccz

Lacrosse cannot grow as a sport if people and programs do not work together to grow the game. We have a serious lack of development and push kids to move from rec to club travel with nothing in-between. This is not sustainable but for some reason our "leaders" refuse to do anything about it.

We are working on our new late fall/winter options and have a really good plan in the works. Would love to chat with any potential investors to help us grow and reach our goal. EXEC: Ten Takeaways from SFIA’s 2024 Team Sports Report... https://lnkd.in/gQrXw5CV In terms of income disparity in team sports for 6- to 12-year-olds, it is greatest in Swimming on a Team, Roller Hockey, and Ice Hockey, and least so for Tackle Football, Rugby, and Wrestling. Among 13- to 17-year-olds, income disparity in team sports was the largest in Ice Hockey, Swimming on a Team, and Lacrosse last year and least so in Paintball, Wrestling, and Grass Volleyball. Not surprised by this at all. There is a ton more to unfold, but lacrosse needs to find more ways to lower the costs and not be just a travel team sport. Here in Portland things are not looking any different, but we are doing what we can to develop the skills of players in the area and keep costs as low as possible.

Plotting out the future for Defy PDX. We have some big plans to really build the training program into something for every player and see great potential in where we are headed.
