For those who missed our earlier post, founder Nicky Leach once again supported the London Marathon Events team as they managed the environmental impact of the London Marathon. Best of luck to our founder, Nicky Leach, who is once again volunteering at the London Marathon on Sunday ??♂????? Last year was the first year Nicky joined the London Marathon Events' sustainability efforts, and she enjoyed it so much she made a promise to support again this year. Working with Greener & Cleaner, a charity creating greener, more sustainable local communities, Nicky will help sort all waste from the event - including clothes, plastic bottles, food (mainly banana skins ??), paper, and cans into dedicated bins, rather than it ending up in landfill. 2019 was the first year of the initiative which saw 1.6 tonnes of clothes recycled, and 2.8 tonnes sent for re-use.
