Congratulations Special Olympics Pennsylvania on reaching your 15,000th (and more) Healthy Athletes screening! We were so glad we could attend this year's Fall Festival at Villanova to support our partner-clients and friends at SOPA. During the celebration, we got to tour the Healthy Athletes screening areas and drop in at the powerlifting, volleyball, and soccer matches going on that day. What a great event! Thank you for inviting us! #SpecialOlympicsPA #FallFest
Special Olympics Pennsylvania's Fall Festival, presented by Toyota, is still just as beautiful after 36 years. From November 1-3, over 1,400 athletes, coaches, and Unified Partners traveled to Villanova University to compete in intense soccer, flag football, long distance running/walking, bocce, volleyball, and powerlifting competition. And, as always, there's plenty of time spent at O-Town! What was different this time around? Athletes and Unified Partners who came home with a gold medal earned a chance to be selected to represent Special Olympics Pennsylvania and compete on the national stage at the 2026 Special Olympics USA Games.? Outside of our incredible competition, Special Olympics Pennsylvania awarded the 2024 Philadelphia Insurance Companies Valor Award to bocce athlete Nicole Henderson, AND celebrated the 15,000th Healthy Athletes screening with an insightful press conference presented by Wells Fargo! With an event like Fall Fest, we can't help but feel overwhelmingly thankful. It takes a village of volunteers, coaches, families, and sponsors to make a magical weekend like this come to life. Fall Fest is more than just competition. It's a space for budding friendships and the reconnection of old pals. It's the thrill and adrenaline of a tight game or a personal record. It's a weekend focused on athlete betterment and health. Special Olympics Pennsylvania just wants to say... THANK YOU. Thank you to our sponsors for helping us bring Fall Fest to life and supporting our community!: Toyota, Wells Fargo, Philadelphia Insurance Companies, NJM Insurance Group, Kessler Topaz Meltzer & Check, LLP, PerformCare?/AmeriHealth Caritas, Cigna Healthcare, Cleveland Cliffs, TD Bank, & Valley Forge Tourism & Convention Board! #SpecialOlympicsPA | #Sponsors | #Competition | #FallFest | Special Olympics | #ThankYou

Andrea had an incredible time at her first KeyCon conference in Erie on October 30th! ?? She was honored to present a workshop on 'Policy Power-Up for Non-Profit Organizations,' where they explored the power of advocacy, why it's crucial for non-profits, and how to build a community-driven advocacy plan. A big thank you to the Nonprofit Partnership for accepting our proposal—we’re already looking forward to next year! ?? #SocialImpact #NonProfitAdvocacy #NonprofitLife #CommunityEngagement #KeyCon2024

On Tuesday, October 22nd, we had the incredible opportunity to attend the PACHW Collaborative Rally Day at the Capitol building in Harrisburg! ??? It was a powerful day of advocacy as we participated in the rally and dropped off literature at legislative offices, sharing the vital work that Community Health Workers (CHWs) are doing across Pennsylvania. ??? Together, we raised our voices for the importance of health equity and access to care for all communities. Every conversation and every connection made is a step towards a healthier Pennsylvania! Our CEO Andrea L. Lowe, DrPH(c), MPH, CPH even got to see her old apartment building during this visit! Thank you to Pennsylvania Community Health Worker Collaborative for inviting us to join in this important effort! ???? #PACHW #CommunityHealthWorkers #AdvocacyInAction
