I am thrilled to officially welcome Sarah Miller as our new VP of Strategy & Insights! Sarah joined our team last week, but she’s no stranger to our business—she’s been instrumental over the past several months, consulting on key insights initiatives that have shaped our brands and category leadership. ? With a proven track record in strategy, insights, and consumer-driven growth, Sarah brings a wealth of expertise, including leadership roles at Tatcha (Unilever Prestige), Kendo Beauty (LVMH), Beautycounter, and more. In addition, Sarah has deep agency experience and was responsible for brand, creative and product marketing strategy for clients across CPG, beauty, tech, pharma and financial services. The FDA recently released its proposed rule for front-of-pack (FOP) nutrition labeling. As many of us in Food and Beverage industry are waiting to see what happens with the new administration, it's important to continue to engage at every opportunity. At Simply Good we support this effort to help consumers more easily identify healthier food choices. In fact, we’re proud to share that 95% of our products qualify for “low” in added sugars based on the proposed thresholds! Here are my thoughts on how the proposed rule on FOP nutrition labeling could be improved: Implement different nutrient thresholds for specific food groups and product categories, to better align with recent labeling activities like the final rule on the “Healthy” implied nutrient content claim and draft guidance on Dietary Guidance Statements Incorporate nutrients of public health concern, like dietary fiber, within the FOP scheme Include a fourth classification for products that contain 0% Daily Value of the nutrients to limit (the FDA proposed “Zero” or “Free” for this classification and is seeking input on this approach) These changes would better align the FOP scheme with existing federal nutrition policies and help guide Americans towards nutrient-dense options that support a healthy diet. Share your thoughts with the FDA until May 16, 2025. We’ll be submitting our comment soon!?

Exciting Leadership Transition at Simply Good Foods At Simply Good Foods, we are committed to strong leadership, strategic vision, and continued growth. Today, I want to take a bittersweet moment to express my deepest gratitude to Shaun Mara, our Chief Financial Officer, who has announced his decision to retire effective July 3, 2025. Shaun has been an outstanding partner to me and a key architect of our financial strategy, helping to shape Simply Good Foods into the strong, dynamic company we are today. His leadership will be felt for years to come, and we wish him the very best in his well-earned retirement. As we plan for the future, I am pleased to welcome Chris Bealer to Simply Good Foods. Chris will join us on April 1, 2025, as Senior Vice President of Finance and is expected to assume the CFO role upon Shaun’s retirement. With nearly 23 years of global finance and leadership experience at Reckitt, Whirlpool, Big Heart Pet Brands, Del Monte Foods, and H.J. Heinz, Chris brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise that will help drive our next chapter of growth. This transition is the result of a thoughtful and strategic succession planning process. I have had the privilege of working with Chris in the past, and I am confident that his deep financial acumen, operational experience, and leadership skills will serve Simply Good Foods exceptionally well. I want to personally thank Shaun for his incredible contributions and leadership. And I look forward to working alongside Chris as we continue our mission to bring great-tasting, nutritious products to consumers worldwide.
