What an end to 2024! As we begin 2025, we’re filled with gratitude for the incredible generosity and love you’ve shown. This past Christmas, your support brought hope and joy to our Kensington neighbors in profound ways. Thanks to your help, our Christmas Store was a resounding success! You gave over $1,000 in donations and we received another $1,200 worth of toys and games. This allowed us to give away nearly 1,000 toys to children in our community! But it wasn’t just about the toys. It was about creating a space where every person felt valued, seen, and cared for. The kids waited in another room with cookies and hot chocolate while the parents shopped to keep the gifts a surprise. The kids’ faces lit up, thrilled about their secret surprise, and the parents were equally joyful, choosing special gifts for each child. Our neighborhood’s autumn celebration was packed with excitement—kids dove into a hay pile to uncover hidden treasures, tested their courage with mystery boxes, and snacked on spooky fruit treats. ?? Creative spirits shined in the pumpkin decorating zone, while families captured memories in the festive photo booth. ?? Even in the toughest spots, where the ground feels hard and the odds seem stacked against us, something incredible happens: resilience takes root.
