Providing constant thermal comfort to our fellow humans in the buildings we design is surprisingly complex, especially when every occupant has a different threshold of what "comfortable" is. Two #LEED Platinum venues provided an amazing evening of revelry and connection. Have I mentioned lately that we have the BEST community?! Because we do. We continue our long tradition of helping Penn State Harrisburg serve its students, faculty and staff through campus improvement projects. We're excited that the new Academic Learning Center (ALC) is approved to move into construction! Our Project Manager Jennifer Lee comments, "We've thoroughly enjoyed working with SCHRADERGROUP Barton Associates, Inc. IEI Group, Ltd. The Sheward Partnership, LLC p-u-b-l-i-c and Alexander Building Construction to design a facility that is a first of its kind on campus. The ALC team reimagined the modern day ‘classroom’ with a design that can accommodate flexible teaching and diverse learning styles. The goal is to provide a home for learning into the future.”

It's New Team Member Tuesday! We are excited to have Cecillia Freeman, WELL AP, LEED Green Associate, ActiveScore AP join our team as a new Sustainability Project Manager out of our Philadelphia office! We're warming up for our Greenbuild International Conference & Expo Tour! What a special opportunity to show 3.0 University Place to a group of architectural engineering students from Drexel University. Three project team representatives did an amazing job of leading a tour of this space: Marelisa Gibson from UPA | University Place Associates, Katherine Roof, PE from IMEG, and Chloe Bendistis, AIA, LEED AP from The Sheward Partnership, LLC. Both Katie and Chloe are Drexel grads, so how exciting to host the next generation of designers to lead the architectural and sustainable design industry! We hope you all gained something from this experience and wish you exciting careers moving forward. Go dragons!
