It is always a pleasure working with LMN Architects, this time on the addition and remodel of the Buxton Center for Bainbridge Performing Arts.
Education Snapshots publishes the recently completed Buxton Center for Bainbridge Performing Arts designed by LMN Architects. “The completed Buxton Center is now open to welcome artists, visitors, and patrons on Bainbridge Island. The project is a new state-of-the-art cultural space intended to facilitate a stronger connection to the civic heart of the island. A wood and glass curtain wall encloses the two-story lobby space, immersing patrons in the lush woodland landscape during the day and creating a welcoming beacon at night. The adjacent flexible studio serves as a separate performance venue and provides a primary home to the Bainbridge Performing Arts Theatre School program.” To read the article: https://lnkd.in/gR3v8fVU

Tomorrow, we break ground on a fabulous new music building for Southern Utah University in Cedar City, UT. Being a Cedar City native, I've really enjoyed working on this project with method studio Architects, Jaffe Holden Acoustic Consultants and a great team of engineers. The new building includes a 500-seat concert hall, a recording studio, and several music instruction spaces. Our office provided services in facility design, Audio/Video systems, Production Rigging & Lighting systems, and fixed seating. Looking forward to building it!

Bainbridge Performing Arts has long been a vibrant community theatre, central to island life. Over the years, it had outgrown its humble beginnings, prompting significant renovations that formalized the space, added an exquisite multi-purpose studio and a welcoming lobby.
