Let's hear it for the teachers! ?? ???? ???? ???? In our mission to empower students with learning differences we know teachers are a KEY part of making that happen. We love working with teachers and do our best to provide them with useful tools and resources that help them make their amazing classroom communities that encourage all students to thrive. This giving season, we have been so delighted to find ANOTHER reason to LOVE our partner teachers. Our partner teachers have been some of our BIGGEST supporters for our end of year fundraiser! We are absolutely blown away that on top of everything they do, teachers are showing up for The Shadow Project through donations out of their own pockets. Halloween is just around the corner! ???? While trick-or-treating can be an anticipated activity for many children, those with sensory sensitivities can find it overstimulating, making it scary in some not so fun ways. ?? Here's some ideas of sensory tools kids can take with them, whether they're trick-or-treating around the neighborhood or attending a community event. This September, Daimler Truck North America employee volunteers visited our warehouse and assembled 100 Sensory Toolkits as well as several Shadow Buck sets. The Sensory Toolkits and Shadow Buck sets have gone directly to over 60 Goal Setting teachers and 1,800 students through our October Shadow Store.
