Our Elder Financial Safety Center and the Dallas Volunteer Attorney Program partner to assist older adults with creating a last will and testament – documenting your wishes for how your property and assets should be distributed. We offer free workshops to help older adults improve their digital skills, develop resumes, and improve their interview skills. Our Open Lab provides access to computers to complete job applications. ?Where do you go if you can no longer manage your finances and don't know what to do? For reasons ranging from the death of a loved one, to cognitive decline and chronic or unexpected health issues, some older adults need help managing their financial affairs, making them vulnerable to financial abuse, fraud and scams. Our Elder Financial Safety Center has a dedicated money management team that has been a lifeline to 180 older adults in the last year who have nowhere else to turn. This team protects older adults, ensuring their bills are paid and basic needs are met.
