The Rugby Foundation is a 501(3)(c) non profit compliant charity in the United States established in 2018. It's 3 primary goals are: 1. ) Support youth referee development through education. training and mentoring programs. 2.) Providing full match official services to all Uniformed Services organizations. 3.) Helping the disabled into pathways that include match officials at varying levels, match organizers and administrators. 4) Helping all rugby athletes obtain a FREE brain health baseline assessment globally. 5) Initiatives to support underserved and lesser served communities globally especially for women and youth programs. 6) Developing leaders through rugby education programs and identify personal values and characteristics to help individuals become better people and better communities. *Disclaimer * we are NOT The U.S. Rugby Foundation. The Award was created in 2022 to recognize individuals in the sport of rugby who exemplify the ethos of Rugby and the spirit of the game. I have so many wonderful connections on Linkedin that it's impossible to know where to begin or who to tag. What I ask is that if this pops up in your timeline that you like, repost and tag everybody that you can think of who might be able to help to #RebuildRugby in #Ukraine I was overwhelmed by the welcome Phil K. and I received in Nova Dolyna (near Odesa) when we visited Ukraine last month. The children all wanted to show off their rugby skills and practice their English with us - that was until the air raid siren sounded and we all headed for the shelter. No child should ever think that is normal!! The Rugby Foundation is now working with #Avangard Rugby to help them to build rugby for now and for the future in Ukraine and we need your help. The thing that struck me the most (apart from the spirit of the children) was that the town had no men except the elderly; the rest, fathers and sons, are away fighting for the survival of their people and their County. Despite this, people are positive, they believe and they are working to foster the key beliefs of rugby in the town with their children. We hope to start the next part of our journey in Ukraine in September by sending a team to Ukraine to deliver training, coaching, development and to look at facilities, grounds and equipment to #RebuildRugby in Ukraine. We need your help, whatever that may be to send equipment and resources over with our team. If YOU or somebody that you KNOW can help with a small donation, please get in touch.
