There’s been a shake-up in nearly every facet of society. You just love to see it! Accountability and reform are coming after decades of abuse of power and profit-over-people ideologies. For example, we spend more on healthcare in America than any other country yet we are the least healthy people in the world. 70% of Americans are unfit for military service, despite trillions of dollars being spent year after year on prescription drugs and doctors and hospital visits. Our government, our food system, our education system, the military-industrial complex, the prison system, and hundreds of other industries and institutions are FULL of systemic issues and are in desperate need of reform. There are many benevolent people operating within these broken systems, so it’s not to say that everyone involved is bad. Florida insurance carriers are trying to pull a FEMA. We're hearing reports that some Florida insurance carriers are telling their policyholders that they won't have money to help them. Their business model has been to collect increasingly higher premiums over the last couple of decades to only leave their policyholders stranded when they actually need to file a claim. Unfortunately I’ve already encountered fraud following Hurricane Helene. It has been brought to my attention that Flood Adjusters, specifically from the impacted areas of Tampa, St. Pete and Clearwater are advising both Contractors and Policy Holders “they are not paying for anything over 4 feet”. Porus, non - structural building materials (drywall, insulation baseboards flooring, cabinetry, etc.. ) must be removed a minimum of 2 feet beyond any visible water damage, staining, growth and etc… of those materials. If a home has a 4 foot flood line, at minimum 6 foot must be removed. Policy Owners / Contractors do not let your insurance company dictate what’s best for your home! If your home is not cleaned and dried properly, it will be a MOLD BOMB in 6 months and YOU will be royally F______.
